I don't do very many memes anymore, but I just had to do this one:

Give me one reason I'm going to hell.

Then post this request in your LJ, and I will tell you why YOU are doomed to eternal damnation.

Name: The Dot Dude
Background: Some poor sap who went broke in the dotcom crash.

Superpowers:

*Anonymity -- Those who see him can not recall him later. When they try to come up with a face, all they can think of is a black dot.

*People think he's awesome because he has a cape goddamnit.

Weaknesses:

*Music from Phantom of the Opera. Every time he hears it, he goes berserk...often with hilariously disastrous consequences.

*Feels compelled to rescue whiny Japanese school-girls who think they can transform themselves into pretty space aliens and save the world. This ends with the two of them tilting at windmills, much to the amusement of onlookers. Suffice it to say that there is much ridiculousness.

*Gets the girl's phone numbers, but when he calls them the next day, the don't remember who the hell he is. They chew him out for calling and then hang up on him.

*Often gets confused with the smiley face from those Wal-Mart commercials.

I found another cute meme. Blame [livejournal.com profile] tanyareed for this one.

My LiveJournal Sitcom
nekosensei's plate (ABC, 8:30): nekosensei (Errol Flynn) and g0shawk (Jimmy Smits) collaborate on writing a romance novel. Later, bmtstandard (Elizabeth Hurley) and perditathecat (Joe Pesci) sneak a pocketwatch into the airport. Nearby, ghostandfriends (Jason Alexander) makes fun of maizegen (Brigitte Bardot) for enjoying planetary motion. Soon afterwards, drewshi (Christopher Walken) likes cars, but anitachan (Bruce Campbell) thinks they're disgusting. The week after, grlinabox (Glenn Close) gets in trouble with the law when tx_cronopio (Val Kilmer) discusses pantss with an undercover cop. Parental discretion advised.

Okay, I couldn't keep my mouth shut on [livejournal.com profile] linmayu's journal entry, so I got tagged for the Marry, Shag, or Cliff Meme. I'm going to answer such I'm such a good sport.

Here are the rules:

1. Comment to this and I will give you 3 people. (Probably fictional characters, and I'll do my best to pick characters you're familiar with.)
2. Label which you would marry, shag, and throw off a cliff. (Only one for each, alas!)
3. Provide pictures of the 3 people.
4. Post this meme with your answers.

[livejournal.com profile] linmayu gave me these three choices: Barack Obama, Captain Hammer, and [livejournal.com profile] doomsey.

My Answers )

If you want to play, comment and I'll tag you. I'm also going to follow [livejournal.com profile] linmayu's rules; anybody leaving snide comments will also be tagged.

2. Go to http://www.quotationspage.com and then select Random - The last four or five words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3. Visit http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/ -- The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4. Use your graphics program of choice to throw them together, and post the result. And then ask someone else to play!

Guess song title and artist. No can Google!

1. Lyrics are arranged as complete sentences and are not separated by verse breaks.
2. Title does not appear in printed lyrics.
3. Clue is not the first line of the song. (With one exception).
3. No duplicate artists.

And yes, I geeked out and did more than 30 songs. Deal.

On to the songs:

1. "Suddenly I knew that you'd have to go. Your world was not mine, your eyes told me so. Yet it was there I felt the crossroads of time, and I wondered why."
First Few Lines: "The thundering waves are calling me home to you. The pounding sea is calling me home to you." ("The Old Ways" by Loreena McKennitt. Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] ladyfox7oaks) I love love love this song!

2. "In the paper today, tales of war and of waste, but you turn right over to the t.v. page."
First Few Lines:There is freedom within, there is freedom without. Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup." ("Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House. Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] gindaisy)

6. "To think I might not see those eyes, makes it so hard not to cry. And as we say our long goodbye, I nearly do."
First Few Lines: I'll sing it one last time for you, then we really have to go. You've been the only thing that's right in all I've done."

10. "In the shadows of a golden age, a generation waits for dawn."
First Few Lines: Another night in any town. You can hear the thunder of their cry. Ahead of their time. They wonder why."

13. "Somehow I slept, I dream, I mean. I dreamt of nothing."
First Few Lines: I must have sneezed. On knees I freeze. I mean I just choked up."

18. "We spit into out hands, and breathe across the palms. Raising them up high, held open to the sun."
First Few Lines: Looking out the window, I see the red dust clear. High up on the red rock stands the shadow with the spear." ("The Rhythym of the Heat" by Peter Gabriel. Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] ladyfox7oaks)

20. "Rain-dogs howl for the century, A million dollars a stake, As you search for your demi-god, and you fake with a saint."
First Few Lines: There must be something we can eat. Maybe find another lover. Should I fly to Los Angeles? Find my asshole brother." ("Everything Zen" by Bush. Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] nick_101)

23. "Mother used to say, 'If you want you'll find a way.' but mother never danced through fire showers."
First Few Lines: I don't feel a thing and I stopped remembering. The days are just like moments turned to hours."

26. "When you came in, the air went out." (I think this artist is obscure. Just give me the song title)
Big Hint: It's the opening of a TV show.
The clue above was already the opening of the song. Have another part of the song: "I'm the kind to sit up in his room. Heart sick an' eyes filled up with blue." ("Bad Things" by Jaycee Everett. Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] bkwrrm_tx. This is the theme song to "True Blood")

28. "Now all them things that seemed so important, well mister they vanished right into the air. Now I just act like I don't remember. Mary acts like she don't care."
First Few Lines: "I come from down in the valley, where mister when you're young, they bring you up to do like your daddy done." ("The River" by Bruce Springsteen. Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] angharad76)

Bonus Round: Songs in Spanish

34. "¿Qué cultura, qué cultura va a tener, un indio chumeca como Lorenzo Morales?
La primera parte de la canción: "Acórdate Moralito de aquel día que estuviste en Urumita y no quisiste hacer parranda."
El cantante de esta canción es de Colombia. Su estilo es vallenato pop.
