Actually, I just stopped in the library, and realized that they had it in a special section called Book Discussion. The librarian showed me where it was, and I think I'm going to definitely browse that area again because they have a lot of cool books there. I managed to get my hands on Devil in the White City as well as Snow Flower and the Secret Fan The topic on that last one is vaguely about Nu Shu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nu_Shu), which is a written language known only to women in China. It's apparently a dead or dying language, as most of the women who used to use it are dying off and not passing it on to their daughters...
