My husband and I both drive hybrid gas-electric cars that get 45 to 50 miles a gallon. We also recycle things made out of aluminum, plastic, and paper. I don't do this everyday, but when my husband and I have something we need to get rid of, we post it on Freecycle.
I'm not sure what we could do more of at this point. I'm sure there's more I can do, but my allergies are acting up big time and I'm feeling really stupid at the moment...
