Weekend Recap

doomsey and I went to Emilio's Tapas in Hillside for dinner to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary. The food was delicious. While they don't have as big of a selection as Cafe Iberico in the city, the food they do offer is delicious. It's also less difficult to get to and you don't have to wait an hour to get a table in the evening.
On Saturday,doomsey, judygs, and I went to blondibritecake's house for Doctor Who night. The theme for this evening was regenerations. In other words, we watched the episodes in which the doctor was killed and regenerated into a different person. We watched the ninth turn into the tenth, the third turn to the fourth, the fourth to the fifth, and the fifth to the sixth (I think). By the way, the "Planet of the Spiders" story arc was very amusing. During the episode with the chase scene, I was starting to wonder if I was watching an episode of Doctor Who or The Three Stooges. By the way, since when does a Model-T chase and manage to gain on a space-aged hovercraft? Seriously...wtf? But the highlight of the episode was when an airboat (one of these guys except it had an inflatable bottom) ran over a sleeping bum. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next theme will be The Master. :)
On Sunday,doomsey and I met up with S, G, and a bunch of other friends for all-you-can-eat sushi at Sushi Para. Afterwards, we saw The Dark Knight on IMAX. All in all, I thought the movie was good, and I was very impressed by Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker. Now that Ledger is gone, I wonder what they're going to do about the third movie. Are they going to try to find another actor to play The Joker, or are they going to replace him with another villain? Over dinner, I told doomsey that Johnny Depp could probably pull it off. doomsey argued that Depp would play it too over the top, which Ledger didn't do. What do you think?
