It seems that some people just have that "me first" attitude. They don't care about what anyone else does.

Because of my fear of crowds, I stay away from malls and department stores on Black Friday.

After several years of working retail (mostly at the former Factory Outlet Mall in Kenosha during the late '80s and early '90s, no less) I try to avoid Black Friday entirely. This year we ended up making a trip out in the evening in a quest to find computer parts for J's Dad's computer, but by then there was really no one in the stores because all the Big Deals were already sold out.

I'm not terribly religious, but I still think Christmas is waay over commercialized. It's just plain silly how batshit crazy people go when trying to get The Big Deals and such, especially when people get hurt and killed over it. It's insane!
