A Picture a Day -- Week 13

Monday, March 23rd:

On Monday afternoon, we had a whole flock of blackbirds invade the neighborhood. There were a shit load of them in all of the trees. It make me think of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Anyhow, if you hear that my eyes have gotten pecked out, you'll know why...

Tuesday, March 24th:

This is my first crochet project. It's going to be a kitchen washcloth, if I ever manage to finish it. I tried working on the border, but I have to admit that I'm stuck. I think my problem is that I'm messing up the tension and crocheting it too tight. [livejournal.com profile] emygination seems to think that switching to a bigger crochet hook for the border (and any time I chain for that matter) might help.

Wednesday, March 25th:

I must admit that I didn't have a lot of time for picture taking on Wednesday, so you get a picture of [livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster's new prescription cat food. My vet had me switch her to said cat food last week because she seems to be having a hard time digesting fiber. Lately, it makes her gassy, which in turn, causes her to yurk on the living room floor...or my couch where I usually sit to surf the web.

Thursday, March 26th:

"Clusters of crocus / Purple and gold / Blankets of pansies / Up from the cold. / Lilies and iris /
Safe from the chill / Safe in my garden / Snowdrops so still". Bonus points if you know where this song comes from. Anyhow, I believe that these are crocuses. It's definitely spring!

Friday, March 27th:

There's something very squirrely going on around here...

Saturday, March 28th:

"Blackbird singing in the dead of night. / Take these broken wings and learn to fly. / All your life /
You were only waiting for this moment to arise." You know the drill: more bonus points if you know who sang this one.

Sunday, March 29th:

We got a dusting of snow Saturday night into Sunday, but it all melted today because it warmed up into the forties.
