An Anniversary of Sorts
Two years ago this evening, I got light headed and passed out face down on my living room floor. (I'm told I also turned a nice shade of blue). ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
doomsey flipped me over while I was unconscious and got me breathing again. He also called the paramedics, who decided that I needed to go to the hospital because my heart rate was high and I was still feeling faint. After a CT scan, they determined that I had had a pulmonary embolism caused by a clot in my left leg. If the embolism had happened earlier in the day, if doomsey hadn't been home, if I hadn't told doomsey I was feeling funny and that I felt like I needed to lie down for a bit, I'd probably be pushing up daisies by now. To this day, I still can't believe that everything went right, and that I'm here to tell the tale.
So yeah...Planet Earth is a beautiful place, and I'm happy to still be here. And having said that...
