You know, I've never listened to her solo album. I should give it a try one of these days.
As for how I got into the Dresden Dolls, I remember hearing "Coin Operated Boy" and liking it way before Amanda Palmer started dating Neil Gaiman. I didn't start getting curious about the band until after though. I hopped onto YouTube, listened to a few of her songs, decided I liked what I heard, and downloaded one of her albums. (Oh...and by the way, record labels that make YouTube mute videos containing their song are dumb. Most of the songs I buy I've heard on YouTube first).
