My parents swear by Merrills (Bass Pro Shops, REI, DIocks, etc.). They run around $100. I am thinkin g about buying a pair for myself, but what I have been doing is Nikes from Nordstrom Rack. I spend $30-60 per pair at Nordstrom Rack, then fir them with a pair of Dr. Scholls arch support insets. Those last me about 4-6 months before they start looking too dumpy for work/fom coming out of the inside - usual wear and tear, but keep in mind I walk 2 miles/day in them 5 days/week.
