Weekend Recap

Friday night was [livejournal.com profile] bmtstandard's birthday. We went out to dinner at Amada's Cafe, a Mexican-Cuban restaurant, to celebrate. Since [livejournal.com profile] doomsey hadn't been sleeping that well, we dropped him back at home. Then, I went back to my in-laws' house to watch the debate.

Saturday was my birthday. (Yes! I made it to 32! Go me!) We also so happened to have play tickets for that evening at the Goodman. We watched Turn of the Century with Jeff Daniels as the lead. It was a cute show, but [livejournal.com profile] doomsey didn't enjoy it very much because he doesn't like musicals. *raspberries in [livejournal.com profile] doomsey's general direction* Afterwards, we had dinner at Reza's, one of my favorite restaurants downtown. Of course, I had to get my favorite entrees there: fessenjan-- chicken with crushed walnuts in pomegranate sauce-- and zereshk polo-- a saffron rice with raisins and currant berries. Very yummy!

On Sunday, [livejournal.com profile] doomsey and I went over to my parents' house to celebrate several birthdays: mine, my mom's, my dad's and my brother-in-law's.

Last, but not least, many thanks to the people on LJ who wished me a happy birthday on Saturday! I really appreciated it!

Happy birthday!

And I have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] doomsey, I'm just not a fan of musicals. Unless they have car chases (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0080455/).
