A Picture a Day -- Week 36

Monday, August 31st:

I have no idea what kind of flower this is, but it's pretty.

Tuesday, September 1st:

[livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster inspecting the progress on my afghan. [livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster tested, [livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster approved!

Wednesday, September 2nd:

My rosebush once again has a fungus growing on it. We had the same damn problem last year. We're going to spray the bush again this year and pick up the leaves once they drop in the hopes that it will prevent the plant from getting re-infected.

Thursday, September 3rd:

The book [livejournal.com profile] almeda lent me. I posted about both the book and the author here.

Friday, September 4th:

[livejournal.com profile] almeda's baby laughing at [livejournal.com profile] emygination, who was doing this...

Saturday, September 5th:

We pulled this bad boy out of my garden over the weekend.

Sunday, September 6th:

Expresso machine! Too bad I can't do expresso anymore.

I love that tomato. The picture's great and it's a beast itself as well. It sits menacingly, like a dragon, staring idly and supposedly unaggressive, but able to pounce at any time. Wonderful.

And yay Ursula V! I envy you -- I'd be hard-pressed to find that book anywhere over here in nowheresville. I recognized the cover right away, I'd been watching her on deviantArt for years (and follow her on twitter, like a good stalker). She's a very good, very fun artist, I think.

Anonymous?! I am not anonymous! Must've logged me out, wanker LJ. T'was me, right there.

And I forgot to mention: CAT YAY!

Whew...thank God. For a second there I thought my troll from Orlando, Florida was back...

The top dark pink flower is phlox.

The problem with your rose is called blackspot, also known as the most common problem rose bushes get. Definitely pick off the diseased leaves and dispose of them.
