Okaaaay

My six year old nephew, who is somewhat over-sensitive, asked my mother-in-law if his mother's knee would be better in a hundred years. My mother-in-law said that his mother would be dead in a hundred years so it didn't matter. Bwa? Anyhow, the poor kid started crying and had to be calmed down.

Yeah...not the best thing to say to a little kid...

Who says those sorts of things to a child?

oh wow.

Yeah, you have to kind of put yourself in a child's shoes before you speak with them... to kind of tailor responses to those kinds of questions.

Well... I don't know how else she could have answered it. A simple yes/no answer tends to not work with kids either.

Poor kid, scatterbrained or not, pretty cruel thing to say...
