Pet of the Month

This morning I got a phone call from my vet informing me that Cosette had won Pet of the Month. Every time I go in there, I enter her name in the contest and this time she won. Part of the package is that she gets her picture in the paper and a little blurb describing her.

So...dear friend's list, this is where I ask you for help. Which picture should I submit?

And here's the little description I wrote:

"When I went looking for a cat 14 years ago, I didn't pick Cosette out. She picked me. I opened up her cage door and she jumped into my arms and my heart. I named her after a character in the musical, Les Miserables, because the white stripe running down her nose made her look like a sad orphan.

Cosette is fond of tuna, catnip, and long naps in patches of sunlight."

Oh, definitely go for the first one - it shows off her beautiful emerald eyes!

Aw...thanks! Everybody who looks at pictures of Cosette tells me that she has such pretty eyes. I remember my vet commenting that not only are they a beautiful shade of green, but they also have a nice oval shape to them.

Maya's were like that too - almost perfectly round. I was looking for a cat at the Animal Shelter as I'll rescue animals when I can if I want a pet, and in one cage I saw a stunning pair of eyes looking at me from underneath the sleeping area before this beautiful Tortie stepped out and came to sniff my hand!

I have no idea why somebody wasn't falling all over themselves to claim her if she'd gone missing from their home; as far as I know she's still alive and my ex still has her (although she must be at least ten by now).
