Calling All Writers

I'm re-starting my old writing community, [livejournal.com profile] story_lines. Here's how it works. Somebody/Anybody can post a prompt. It could be a few sentences or it could be a picture. Then, others can add onto the story in the comments. The amount you want to add can be up to you. You could write as little as one sentence or as much as a couple of paragraphs.

This is very similar to a round robin. It's tons of fun and it's great practice for those of us who love to write, but are out of practice or don't have oodles of time to write. If you like this concept, spread the word because it's one of those things were, the more people you have, the better it is. As they say, the more the merrier!

Anyhoo, the first prompt can be found here. Feel free to create other prompts if something strikes your fancy. Enjoy!

And in other news:

- I have read about the latest kerfuffle on LJ. What a mess! I just thought I'd repost a statement saying that I will never cross-post anything written on your journals onto Facebook or Twitter.

Now I've got to figure out how to remove the Facebook and Twitter ticky boxes from my journal. What's the fix again?

I posted the fix to my LJ; it's my latest entry.

Son of a bitch! I don't think it worked for me because I see the codes at the top of my journal page.

wait - you can cross-post someone else's posts? my posts are mostly too long for that, but that's just not right. I need to figure out how to disable it too.
