Heh heh

It's currently about -6 outside. About an hour ago, I boiled water, took it outside, and threw it up in the air. As [livejournal.com profile] hakeber said, instant snow! It wasn't as cathartic when I used water that was at room temperature though. You could see it freezing on the ground right away though...

Oh...I have video! Once I edit it, I'll post it to YouTube with a link.

[Edit: I'm also thinking about going out there again when it's a bit colder...maybe around -10...to see what kind of results I get. And of course I'll bring the camera provided I can get it to work in low light].

Adopt one today!

Nice.

If you post video, I'm totally going to show it to my students.

I wonder what sort of results you'd get if you had a garden hose with a mister nozzle attachment...

That could be interesting, but I'm too frightened to try. I'd be too afraid of freezing my garden hose, pipes, or both!

When we lived in MN, we took a pot of boiling water outside at -23 and dumped it straight on the back porch - it froze solid before it hit the concrete. So cool!

I carried a spider that had gotten into the milk house outside at about -10. KRICK! Flash frozen arachnid. *G*

Cool! I want to see the vid! :)

That sounds quite awesome.
