Picture a Day -- Week 21

Yeah...I've been neglecting my LJ nowadays, haven't I? Lately, everything that's happened to me can either be summed up in 140 characters on Twitter or talked about in a weekly picture-a-day post...

Having said that, onto the pictures...

Monday, May 18th:

On Monday, I went to the Willowbrook Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to take pictures of some of their critters. Fortunately for me, their resident bobcat came out of his little hidey-hole while I was there. This picture turned out a bit dark, but it was the only one where I managed to focus the camera on the cat and not the bars in front of him. A caretaker was also out, and she talked to two or three of us about the bobcat and the aging raccoons in the adjacent cage.

Tuesday, May 19th:

[livejournal.com profile] doomsey bought me a flu plushie from Think Geek the week before. I hope it doesn't give me Captain Trips.

Wednesday, May 20th:

It's that time of year again. We have two silver maples, and these damn maple helicopters get everywhere...

Thursday, May 21st:

All of the pictures I took on Thursday turned out crappy. This was the best one. I don't know what I was going for here...maybe I was playing with the leaves, light, and shadow on our dormer?

Friday, May 22nd:

[livejournal.com profile] doomsey and I found out rather last minute that they were holding a Dollar Store Show at the Hideout on Friday evening. Whoever holds it usually sends out a mass email, but that didn't happen this time. This is a picture of two of the performers. The guy on the right co-hosts the show with Jonathan Messinger. After every person reads their story or performs their skit, he improvises a song reflecting said piece on his piano. What he comes up with is almost always hysterical.

Saturday, May 23rd:

Sometimes you just have to look up...

Sunday, May 24th:

Sunday we went to a barbecue celebrating Memorial Day at [livejournal.com profile] jharter41/s house. My brother-in-law and a friend cooked ribs. By the way, the ribs were phenomenal.

I love the picture looking up into the trees...
