Feb. 4th, 2007 10:51 amYesterday, I took
cosettemonster to the vet. It looks like she's doing much better than when we first brought her in. She gained back the six ounces that she had lost earlier this year. The vet felt her stomach and intestines, and said that she feels less inflamed. So...those are all good signs. Lately, I've been giving her a little bit of Laxaire at night since it tends to make her feel better. She's tossed up a couple of hairballs, and we're thinking that's also making her stomach unhappy. The vet told us that we could give her the Laxaire everyday and that it won't hurt her. So...I think that's what we're going to do to help settle her stomach. Finally, we bought a better brush for
cosettemonster at the vet's office to see if we could help lick the hairball problem. This brush is amusing since it doesn't really trap the excess hair per se. It brings it to the top of her coat where you can take your hand and remove it. Does it use static electricity? I don't know. At any rate,
cosettemonster loves it.
What else did I do? I was feeling kind of tired and dopey yesterday, so I sat around knitting. My scarf it almost done. One of these days I should take a picture. When I finish with that, I think I'm going to start working on a blanket for my niece, Emma. My mom has been trying to crochet her a blanket, but I gathered from the last email she sent me, it's coming out crooked. Poor mom! I bought her the Crocheting for Dummies book when I ordered my Knitting for Dummies book. I hope that helps.
Last but not least, our kitchen still smells like Japanese curry. Mmm...curry. I spent at least an hour and a half cutting up vegetables and cooking them. I think I made way too much food too. I could have easily halved the receipe and saved myself the trouble. I think I should have also used less water than what the receipe called for because it was a tad bit on the watery side. On the other hand, it was still pretty tasty.
