I'm an idiot...

So...today I took cosettemonter to the vet. It turns out that she needs to take Adequan, which is a subcutaneous shot I have to give her every week. I'll describe why in another post when I'm not feeling so damn tired. Long story short, I decided it would be a good idea to give her a shot when I was tired and not thinking straight. doomsey told me to grab a fold of skin by her shoulders and stick it in. Well...the needle ended up going through the fold of skin and into my finger. Ow! On the bright side, I think the cat got the meds that were in the needle and not me. doomsey says that sticking the cat and then myself is a very bad idea. emygination, who works at a vet's office, assured me that it's not a big deal and that, if I did get some of the cat's meds, it won't hurt me.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. I guess I'm not administering shots when I'm tired anymore...

Oh...and one other thing...at least cosettemonster tested negative for FIV so I know that I'm not coming down with kitty AIDS any time soon! :)
