This is
doomsey.
nekosensei asked me to post on her behalf that she's in the hospital and will be until at least Thursday.
On Monday evening, she had symptoms of a panic attack coupled with trouble breathing. I called the paramedics to take her to the emergency room of the local hospital, where her pulse remained excessively high for several hours. Eventually, imaging revealed pulmonary embolism; this condition is treatable but difficult to diagnose, and we're lucky that it manifested itself in the best possible of conditions. Her symptoms have greatly improved in the past day, she's been lucid the entire time, and there's no sign of any type of permanent damage. We have no reason to expect anything other than a full recovery.
[edit: I talked to her about 8:00am (today, Jan 9), and she said her blood pressure and pulse were back to normal, and that the doctors say she's responding well to treatment.]
