Books I've read so far this year...

12. Ouija: The Most Dangerous Game by Stoker Hunt -- Yes...I'm weird. But you all knew that already. I decided to pick up this book after a conversation on another friend's LJ. I agree with the section that describes the psychology of Ouija boards. When you're using a Ouija board, chances are that you're talking to your subconscious or the subconscious of one of your friends, and not a spirit. The subconscious is a very strange place, and I can see how it could say some pretty disturbing things.
13. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath -- This is a semi-autobiographical novel by Plath about her mental breakdown the summer before her senior year in college. From the description, it sound like she had bipolar disorder. This was a very good book, and I can see why it's considered a classic. It sucks you in with its detailed description of the narrator's slide into insanity, admittance to a public (and later a private) asylum, and eventually, her recovery.
