Since it's my spring break, I decided to go to the zoo today for my picture of the day. I'm tempted to buy a One Plus membership for $62 so that I can make several trips this year for my picture-a-day project. Said membership would get me free admittance and free parking. I can also bring one guest for free. The reason I'm considering the One Plus version and not the standard is because it's only 8$ more and I can bring
doomsey back there later this year.
Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?
The city picked today to work on replacing the water main out front, and they didn't bother to tell me that they were going to be digging right in front of my driveway. I asked them to please let me out, but they told me they can't until about two o'clock this afternoon. So...now my car is stuck in the garage! So much for my zoo trip.
Oh well. Maybe I can go on Friday.

Happy April Fools Day!
Apr. 1st, 2009 05:40 pmI managed to pull a fast one on two of you today. While there were people parked in front of our house working on the street, they never blocked me in, and I was able to go to the zoo today. I talked with
doomsey about getting a zoo membership yesterday and this morning, and I decided to buy a one year One Plus Membership. Not only do I get in for free for the rest of the year, but I get free parking, a ten percent discount on food, two guest passes, and I'm allowed to bring one guest with me any time I want throughout the year. I figured that this would be useful because I could take friends, and of course, my nieces and nephews to the zoo. And obviously, I thought it would come in handy for my whole picture of the day project. Depending on traffic, it's only half an hour a way, so if I have a free day and have no idea what I'm going to take a picture of, I can always pop over the to the zoo. You may have noticed by now, but animals are my favorite subject. I'm definitely going to get my moneys worth out of this thing.
Today, I got there around eleven, walked around the zoo in a big circle, and then hung out for an hour by the lions, tigers, and bears. Luckily for me, they were all being active, and I managed to get some good action shots. Man...I'm going to have a hard time deciding what my picture of the day is going to be, aren't I? Bears fighting...tigers playing with toys...spider monkeys grooming one another. What's it going to be?
And for those of you who don't read twitter, I'm going to leave you with this image because it amuses me.
Mr. Lion was pacing back and forth and banging his head against the window. I think he was trying to pick out dinner.
