* [livejournal.com profile] doomsey and I visited friends last night. After dinner, we played team Trivia Pursuit and won the game. Tee hee.

* I've lost my voice. Damn.

* Went to a friend's house this evening for Horror Movie Night, which they hold every Monday. This week's movie was Repo! The Genetic Opera. I've been meaning to see it for a long time now, and I wasn't disappointed. Speaking of movies, I'm half tempted to introduce this group to the movie, The Forbidden Zone. I think they might have a taste for odd stuff. I watched The Forbidden Zone when I was a junior in high school and I thought it was one of the strangest movies I had ever seen. I think, if I were to watch it again, it would still qualify as being one of the strangest movies I've ever seen.

* Tomorrow is going to be problematic if I don't get my voice back. *sigh*

* In Search of Lost Sounds: Why you've never really heart the "Moonlight" Sonata. A couple collects antique pianos and stores them in a building that used to be a library. They then use these pianos-- the pianos that composers such as Beethoven or Mozart used to create their works-- to re-create what they originally sounded like. Go read the article and then listen to the Moonlight Sonata as played on a modern Steinway and a 19th century Viennese piano. The difference in the quality of the sound is striking. *"Womb Lynching:" On the anti-choice targeting of African-American women. This is an article describing how pro-life groups are equating abortion with eugenics. Wow...how low can these guys sink? (Link swiped from [livejournal.com profile] bonobochick)

* My voice is still MIA. I think I might have to employ some interpretative dance tonight...
