Mine has a bone chip and arthritis. The arthritis comes from a) being old and b) having the bone chip. She's probably going to have to have surgery to have it removed. The poor thing. I'm going to see if she improves, and if not, I'm going to find a specialist to do orthoscopic surgery. Her regular vet isn't able to do that. They'd have to cut her entire knee open, and it's pretty invasive. To top it all of, she would need two weeks of physical therapy. She's getting old, and I don't know if she can handle full blown knee surgery. So...it looks like orthoscopic surgery it is.
