6. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

7. Lakota Woman by Mary Crow Dog -- This is an autobiography chronicling the author's life growing up on an Indian reservation in South Dakota and the discrimination she faced. She also describes her involvement with AIM (American Indian Movement), her participation in the stand-off at Wounded Knee, and her marriage to a medicine man, Leonard Crow Dog. This took me a long time to get through, but it was an interesting read.

I really loved Jane Eyre -- I read it a long time ago, and have re-read it.
