Volunteering for Obama Campaign
Sep. 6th, 2008 06:10 pmI wrote about this in Twitter, and I thought I would elaborate on it in an LJ post. Yesterday evening, a volunteer working for the Obama campaign got in touch with me. I will indeed be canvassing door to door up in Kenosha, WI for the campaign on September 20th. So...yeah...I'm really excited by this. In 2004, I felt like I sat idly by and helplessly watched as Bush got re-elected for a second term. This year, no matter what the outcome of the election, I'll feel like I had at least done something, no matter how small, to get things moving in the right direction. Honestly, I'm really worried what's going to happen to this country if we get yet another Republican in the White House for the next four years. Like, how about we start looking for other sources of energy instead of drilling up in Alaska for oil?

Date: 2008-09-07 03:44 am (UTC)I am pulling for Obama. I don't have time to get involved in helping his campaign, but, I will definitely be voting for him.
We do need other resources. Even if there was drilling in Alaska, what would we do when that source runs out?
