6. Roald Dahl's Book of Ghost Stories
7. The Colony by John Tayman
8. On Writing by Stephen King
9. The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton
10. Abundance by Sena Jeter Naslund -- This is another book that was loaned to me by a friend (have to return that and a few other books she loaned me, by the way). It was a lot more interesting that I thought it was going to be. It's historical fiction about Marie Antoinette. According to the author's note, she tried to create as accurate a portrayal of the monarch as she could using personal memoirs. doomsey and I visited Versailles in 2005, and I had seen some of the rooms and paintings that she described.
