Monday, September 21st:

I've been doing a lot of reading lately. This is a bookmark that I purchased online after the wooden one that I had bought at L.L. Bean in Maine died a horrible death. I wrote an LJ post lamenting the demise of the prior bookmark, and complaining that I couldn't find another cat bookmark on L.L. Bean's website to replace it. Well,

lucy_burb sent me a link to one that was even better. Of course, I had to buy it.

On Saturday, my family celebrated my and my mom's birthday. My sister and I made the mistake of teaching Emma the term, "Cakensmoosher," which comes from this Swedish Chef sketch. Emma thought this was pretty cute and decided to smoosh her cake. The results were very entertaining. I would have had a better picture of this, but alas, I forgot to put my memory card in the smaller camera, so I was stuck using the camera on my iPhone. :(
