29. Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire -- This was written by the same author who wrote Wicked, the book the musical was based on. Overall, it was a pretty entertaining book. Here, he takes the story of Cinderella and situates it in Holland. One of the biggest themes of the book explores the definition of beauty and whether it's a gift or a curse. I would write more, but I'm tired and it's time to go to bed...

A friend posted a link to this story today and I thought I would share. By the way, the pictures at the bottom are very graphic and disturbing. If you have a problem with that sort of thing, FYI.

This makes me so unbelieveably mad that they are killing off non-violent Buddhist monks.
