A Really Stupid Cooking Question (Otherwise known as "Ask the friends list")

Does fudge have to be refrigerated once it hardens? I'm thinking of pulling out what's in the fridge and cutting it up. I think it can be left on a counter for a couple of days, but I'm not sure.
