April Fools Day

For about half a minute on Sunday, doomsey thought that we had started bombing Iran. His reaction to this piece of information was a sigh and then, "Oh boy!" However, before he went to look it up, he realized that it was April Fools and that I was pulling a prank on him. He claims that I hadn't fooled him, but he's wrong. His reaction to me telling him gave it away.

I also would have come up with something better (and more funny) than the whole bombing Iran thing, but I couldn't think up of anything at the time. And he's on to me with the phone call stunt. One year, he called up the Brookfield Zoo asking for Mr. Lyon. The year after that, he called up the New York City Aquarium asking for Mr. Wale.

Ah, the Mr. Lyon gag. They used that on The Wire last year, Kima got welcomed to Homicide with an urgent message to call Mr. Lyon at headquarters before she took her first case. I'd never heard of it 'till then.
