Doctor's Visit
Aug. 8th, 2007 10:46 pmAs I mentioned before, I paid a visit to my doctor. She asked me how my vision and hearing where and then had me do a bunch of tests in order to check my balance. She ruled out the possibility that anything more worrisome was going on, which is what I thought but figured I should get it checked out just in case. One thing she reccommended is that I go back to my normal dose of Wellbutrin for a day. She said that if things go back to normal, it means that I'm having withdrawal symptoms. Since I haven't had my eyes looked at in over three years and I think I need a new prescription for my lenses, she said that I should go to an ophthalmologist. In other words, I should see someone with an MD and explain to them what's going on. Not just an optometrist. She said that the part where I'm getting the static-like feeling is the part of the brain that controls vision. Finally, she also added that sometimes things happen neurologically that we don't always understand. Then, she described something that happens to her toes. They stick together for no apparent reason and she said that, whenever it happened, it hurts like hell. She said that these kinds of things tend to go away on their own. She then suggested that, if none of the above things worked, then I should wait a few months to see if it goes away by itself. If it doesn't, then we can talk about doing more tests.
