Medical Issues

I've been having some medical issues that I really don't feel like going too in depth on. As I mentioned earlier, I had been getting this static-y feeling in the back of my head. Then starting on about Thursday, I got a bunch of migraines. The worrying thing about them is that part of my head would hurt almost as if someone had cracked me upside the head or something. Thursday evening, I couldn't get to sleep because when I put that part of my head against the pillow, it hurt. And then there were the migraines. Yesterday, I went to the ophthalmologist and he said that my eyes looked fine. I didn't need a new prescription of eyeglasses actually. Since he was an MD, I described some of my problems and he suggested that I might have a pinched nerve...maybe from carrying too heavy of a bookbag. Today, I went to my doctor and asked for a refill on some migraine medication and described what was going on. She was a bit concerned and wants me to get a neck X-ray. I don't know exactly what she's looking for. She thinks that my problem might be in my neck and the pain is radiating out from there. I did notice that my neck has been kind of stiff and felt a bit weird when I turned it, but I didn't really connect the two. Duh. I probably should have. The doctor poked at my neck and it does hurt from her poking at it, so that might be what the problem is. I've taken some ibruprofen so hopefully I can get through anime night. She gave me samples for muscle relaxants and told me to take them before I go to bed since they can make me sleepy.

Well...I wasn't going to write a long post about this, but it looks like I've written a novel. Whatever.

Have you gone to a chiropractor? I swear by mine. I haven't been in about 6 months and I feel like a train wreck. I need to go for a massage and an adjustment. I usually go every month or so, just to maintain allignment. I get knocked around a bit here and there, so going regularly helps.

I've been to a chiropractor before and she did help with the issues I was having with my back at the time. If she does find a problem with my neck, I don't think my doctor is going to refer me to one though. If anything, she'll probably refer me to a physical therapist...
