Oh yeah! You and the screaming cicadas. That neat imagery. It reminds me of a poem I had for an assignment, by LePan. I'll have to dig that out and share it.

Actually, the 17 year cicadas that came out earlier this summer should be all dead by now. The ones I'm describing are the yearly ones. They're loud by us, especially in the late afternoon / early evening. They're much louder than the 17 year ones were, and that's somewhat unusual. Of course, we didn't get many of the 17 year ones for whatever reason. But they got a ton of them a mile and a half south of us.

Well, I think the buzzing in your head is the reverberation from the cicadas. When I ski for a full day, I feel like I'm still wearing my boots for a while after I take them off. Your head is still vibrating from listening to those rib-rattlers. All the vibrating has put your neck out.
