This morning I figured out how to make [livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster hold down her food when she is having an IBD flare-up. This morning, instead of handing both her and [livejournal.com profile] arwenmonster their food, I locked [livejournal.com profile] arwenmonster in the bathroom with her food and worked with [livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster in the kitchen. She had tossed up both of her meals on Friday and Saturday, and I really wanted her to keep one of them down. I measured out the amount of food that [livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster was supposed to eat using a measuring cup. Then, I started puting food pellets in her bowl in twos and threes. She would eat them, I would pause, and then I would put more in her bowl. [livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster has a tendancy to hoggie doggie her food down, eating too much too fast, and I did this to try to slow her down. I also made her take a twenty or thirty minute break when we were halfway done in order to see if she would hold what she had eaten down. It's very time consuming, but there has been no urping this morning and it saved me from having to clean the carpet...again.

I still think I'm going to take [livejournal.com profile] cosettemonster to the vet this week. I can't keep feeding her like this because it takes way too long.
