Yeah. That was pretty scary actually. I heard the wind pick up and then the power went off. I ended up sitting on the couch in the basement holding the good cat (aka the one I didn't have to go chasing after to get her furry ass downstairs) and thinking, "Please don't let 'da tree fall on 'da house. Please don't let 'da tree fall on the 'da house." We have a big tree in front of our house. It does a great job lowering our air conditioning bills in the summer because it shades the house so well. On the other hand, there's always the concern that it could fall on the house during nasty weather.
Anyhow, we still don't have any power. I'm at my in-laws' house finishing up the laundry I started before the storm. The neighbors are saying that, during the last bad storm, it took three days for the power to come back on. Oh...and we would have had the use of our neighbor's generator to keep our refrigerator and freezer going, but another asshat neighbor borrowed it (without letting the owner know about it beforehand) and put gas for the snowblower in it. They spent a good part of the night last night trying to get it cleaned out and fixed. They never did get it running so it looks like we're all SOL.
Overall, we were very lucky. We did have a number of sizeable tree limbs down, but that's about it. Across the street from us, there is a tree that is pretty much cracked in half and it looks like it's on some power lines. As I was driving to my in-law's house, I saw more trees down and some trees that had fallen into houses (like what I was afraid of). I would have to say that we were very fortunate.
