Let's just say that you're in a cockpit of a plane that has crash landed. If you hear a large animal outside, it's big enough to bring down trees in a matter of seconds , and you have any reason to believe that it might be a predator, it may not be a good idea to stick your head out the window. Yeah...I noticed. I ended up watching three episodes last night and was astounded by the stupidity of the guy who put a bullet through someone's chest in order to "put them out of their misery" and ended up not killing him. That was a really duh moment. Also, I kept wondering why the dog hid out in the woods and didn't come back until that one guy played that whistle. You think that, once he heard his owner, he'd come bounding back onto the beach to be with people. A cat would hide in the jungle, but dogs are social animals and I doubt they would have stayed camped out there that long...

And those things you mentioned are just the details they got wrong. As the seasons progress you really ask yourself if their brain action is still normal because they'll start to construct the most stupid coincidences imaginable to bring their 'everything is connected' point home.
