Ten Pounds Down!
May. 8th, 2008 10:59 pmYay! I've succeeded in losing ten pounds already. Well, actually, it's more like twelve, but whatever. Really, it wasn't that hard. All I did was cut out snacks, ate a smaller lunch, and walked two to three-and-a-half miles a day.
doomsey's suggestion was also really helpful. He lost a lot of weight in the past year, and he didn't have to count calories to do it. He just weighed himself every day at the same time. That must have been a great source of motivation for him. He said that he knew right away whether he was eating too much or not and he could adjust his diet accordingly.

Date: 2008-05-09 04:14 am (UTC)I've been struggling to loose the rest of the baby weight, and it's been coming off slowly. The only thing that's worked for me is diligently counting calories (snooze). So I've started doing that again.

He says that he also records his weight (he has a graph documenting how much weight he lost over time), but I don't bother. If I find that my weight is going up, I assume that I've been eating too much and try eating less.
