PAC. I has it.

In other words, it's a heart palpitation of some sort. More specifically, an extra or premature heartbeat. I had walked three-and-a-half miles and had caffeine in the morning so it showed up during my exam/blood draw. The doctor wasn't worried about it. She told me it's completely benign.

It's only a problem if you have too many of them and you start showing symptoms and that's pretty rare.

One time in one of my programming classes, I felt a shift in my chest. Then it suddenly felt really heavy, like my lungs weren't taking in any air. Then time started to slow down. I grabbed for my water bottle and took a swig, but the water barely went down. I found feel the icey cold all around me. I clutched my chest and let out a little "ugh". And then with what I thought would be my last words I said calmly "I need help".

When the EMS got there they said that my pulse was wildly variable. 30 to 90 beats within the same minute. It eventually stabilized, but the doctor at Baylor said it was a palpitation. I saw a cardiologist the next day and all he could find was a false positive that seemed to correct itself on the EKG after I started running.

Though another doctor found evidence of the forming of a Hiatal-hernia that was putting pressure on my upper chest and that was most likely what was causing this problem.

Eeep! Sounds frightening. Cardiovascular problems that make you feel funny and pass out are absolutely terrifying.
