I Guess I Wasn't Imagining Things

In other words, it's a heart palpitation of some sort. More specifically, an extra or premature heartbeat. I had walked three-and-a-half miles and had caffeine in the morning so it showed up during my exam/blood draw. The doctor wasn't worried about it. She told me it's completely benign.

Date: 2008-07-03 04:47 am (UTC)When the EMS got there they said that my pulse was wildly variable. 30 to 90 beats within the same minute. It eventually stabilized, but the doctor at Baylor said it was a palpitation. I saw a cardiologist the next day and all he could find was a false positive that seemed to correct itself on the EKG after I started running.
Though another doctor found evidence of the forming of a Hiatal-hernia that was putting pressure on my upper chest and that was most likely what was causing this problem.
