Beware of Flying Cutlery

This evening, some friends and I went to Greek Islands for dinner. Not long after the waiter put the plate of saganaki next to my place setting, I went to put my fork down and the side of my hand grazed the hot dish. Startled, I yanked my hand away and let out a yelp that sounded vaguely like a pissed off cat. In the process, I sent the fork I was still holding flying. Thank God there was a wall behind me and not another table full of people, otherwise things would have gotten much more "interesting."

Fortunately, my hand is not hurt...only my pride. My friends are not going to let me live this one down for a long time...

So...I guess my reflexes are good.

I would have loved to see that. I've done similar things myself but fortunately only at home, with fewer witnesses. But great reflexes is a good thing to have. Might save your life one day.. *nods sagely*
