More Rain!

I just got off the phone with my mother. Her house is still taking on water. Fortunately, it's just seepage and it's not out-and-out flooding. Earlier today, she got an automated phone call from her town telling people to stay out of flooded basements. She assumed that a couple of people managed to get themselves electrocuted. They're also setting up a shelter at a local high school because of some flooding west of her. Apparently, they've been evacuating homes in that area.

I also heard that my brother-in-law fixed a garage door at a house whose basement was flooded up to the rafters. Eek!

This storm is doozy. And we haven't gotten any of the moisture from Hurricane Ike yet!
