A national rally is going to be held on Saturday, November 15th in the afternoon to protest the passing of Proposition 8. According to the website, they're planning on having at least one rally per state. If my cough is better and I'm feeling up to it, I might go. Is anybody else out there interested?

That's awesome. Too bad there isn't a protest in my town. :/

Cool. That's provided I'm feeling much better by Saturday though. I got sick on Thursday, and I'm still feeling craptastic. My throat and lungs both hate me.

Have you thought about asking Jason and Kevin if they want to come with?

I don't know which state you're in, but if I do go and protest, it would be in LR Arkansas. I've never been to a protest before. How does it work? I'll have to ask the hubby about this.

Here's (http://jointheimpact.wetpaint.com/?t=anon) a complete list of locations. I've been to anti-war rallies and vigils before. There's nothing to it. You pretty much hold up a sign and make some noise. It is a good way of meeting like-minded people.

I've never had any problems with this, but make sure you avoid any trouble-makers who taunt the police and such. If the police tell you to do something, do it. If there is any misbehavior, get out of there. You don't want to be arrested. I get the impression that that can be an easy thing to have happen to you now-a-days. I know that, in Minneapolis-St. Paul, they were pretty much arresting anyone who so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time during the Republican National Convention. Even journalists and people who lived there who were going about their business! Crazy, huh?

Well, in Chicago, it's at the federal plaza at the corner of Adam and Dearborn. There's a more complete list of locations here (http://jointheimpact.wetpaint.com/?t=anon). It starts at 12:30pm Central Time.
