Snow Day!

It was eerily quiet here this morning. I think a lot of people took the weather warnings to heart and stayed home from work. Usually, since our house is close to the expressway, I can hear the traffic in the mornings, but this morning...nada. It looks like we didn't get as much snow as what they were originally forecasting yesterday. Now they're saying that total storm accumulation is going to be two to five inches. Maybe, with the economy being the way it is, the meteorologists decided we need more drama to increase ratings. /sarcasm Actually, I heard that they got quite a bit of snow further north. Looks like we got lucky.

Our district has a snow day today, so now the next-door neighbor's kids are out.

We're supposed to get a bad storm Sunday and Monday. I really hope it's not nearly as bad as they say because I start work on Monday.

A snow day is when the kids don't have to go to school?

When I was a kid we got to stay home if the temperature was below -30 degrees Celsius..

Well at least you can make a snow man for christmas! I'd also recommend a little pyramid of snowballs with a tea-candle or two inside on the porch.

Ironically it seems as if we'll get yet ANOTHER green christmas here this year. The seasons aren't what they used to be.
