LJ Outage

Yesterday evening, LJ went down. What did I do? Well, I experimented with one of the recipes in my great-grandmother's book. I made Peach Kuchen. I think it came out okay. *keeps fingers crossed* I plan to take it the New Year's Eve Party tomorrow. I also puttered around on Dragon Cave and *finally* managed to snag myself a silver egg. It only took me forever. Finally, I read a couple hundred pages of Stephen King's Duma Key. I'm enjoying it. I'm only 60 pages from the end so it's getting really interesting.

Speaking of peaches. You know, I think the can of sliced peaches I used in the peach kuchen might actually be the one the one that fell on my foot, messed up my tendons, and caused the blood clot. (I have several cans on the shelf and I don't remember which one it was precisely). I was saving that can for a shooting range or something, but I couldn't find any fresh peaches at the grocery store. It seems kind of fitting that it's going to be consumed a year to the day after my little accident.
