nekosenseiI had a weird dream this morning. I dreamt I was staying in a sort of small house or condo with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
doomsey, emygination, judygs, bmtstandard, and my niece, R. Something wasn't quite right with the condo. I was standing just outside the doorway to emygination's room when all of a sudden the door slammed shut. I heard emygination yelling at someone and then later she told me that she thought the place was haunted and she was chewing out the ghost. Okaaaaaay. I thought this was weird because I hadn't seen anything unusual happening. Sure enough, a few minutes later, I was standing with doomsey and a friend when a back door that led to a porch opened by itself and something that was on a counter was thrown to the floor. I tried to make said door stay closed so that the cats wouldn't get out. I tried tying it shut or putting stuff in front of it, but I would come back a few minutes later and the door would be standing open again. It was more frustrating than anything. Later, I dreamt that I had been sleeping and was awoken by R. crying and asking for someone to come to her room. She sounded like either she had had a nightmare or she had seen something. judygs called from her room, "be quiet, we're trying to sleep." Then, I heard R. calling my name and crying some more. She sounded terrified. I didn't want to open my eyes because I was afraid I would see staring me down from the foot of my bed, but I opened them nonetheless and got up to find out what was going on. And that's when I woke up. I never did find out what had scared her so badly.
Today, I had my doctor's appointment, and I have some good news. I've been on Coumadin for a year now and my hypercoagability tests came back normal. This means that I get to go off the blood thinners. Woo hoo! Tonight, I had pizza and a Trader Joe's side dish called "Green with Envy." It had broccoli, spinach, green beans, asparagus, and edamame: all of the things I wasn't supposed to have for the past year. It was delicious! I was going to have a glass of wine with dinner, but I decided against it. I should probably wait a day or two to make sure all therat poison Coumadin is out of my system. My in-laws and I are talking about going to Ruby Tuesday's because they make awesome mojitos there. Mmm....mojitos. I do have to repeat the hypercoagability test again in two months time so let's hope that it comes back normal. Otherwise, I'll have to go back on Coumadin again in March. *boo* *hiss*
Why do I have the feeling that I'm going to be doing a bit of drinking these next two months? I can't have caffeine anymore, but now I can have booze! Heh heh. *glug glug glug*
I also heard about the LJ layoff drama. Rumor has been going around that this isn't a good sign. I doubt LJ is going anywhere anytime soon, but I decided to back up my journal. That was something I should have done a long time ago anyway. Back when Journal Fen was accepting new users, I snagged the username nekosensei there and today I set up another account on Insane Journal. I haven't been doing anything with those journals, but in the event that LJ does go belly up, I'll still have the same username and I can hop over to either one of those. Just give me a wave over there. I'm also nekosensei on Twitter, and I check that semi-regularly.

Date: 2009-01-07 03:53 am (UTC)I backed up my journal tonight, too. I've got an Insane Journal, too, with lady-curmudgeon as my username over there, but I've only posted to it like twice. I'm glad I have it as a back up, though. I'm on vox, too, but I only posted there like once and it looks like they changed their posting interface to one similar to MySpace, which is annoying.
I really hope this all blows over. I've got a permanent account here and a bunch of friends that I only communicate with through here, so it would blow goats if LJ were to fold.
