Monday, January 5th:

I had extra eggnog left over from when I made eggnog cookies the week of Christmas. I decided to use it before it expired so I made more cookies. One of these days, I'm going to have to buy powdered eggnog from a site I found so that I can make more. Also, the good thing about the powdered eggnog is that I can control the intensity of the eggnog flavor by adding more or less powder.

Tuesday, January 6th:

Okay...that was a crappy picture. I took it from inside because it was raining/snowing/sleeting/whatever and I didn't want to go out in it.

Wednesday, January 7th:

Thursday, January 8th:

On Thursday, I took

ordinary to the hospital for a surgical procedure. I worked on lesson plans and knitted while I waited for her.

Friday, January 9th:

bmtstandard, Tom, and I all went to the Hideout to see The Dollar Store Show. Basically, a guy named John Messinger gives items he bought at a dollar store to writers, poets, actors, artists, etc and asks them to write a story or do a skit based on the item. Some of them are pretty funny. This skit was done by two brothers who do improv. They were fighting over who was going to tell their story, so at one point, they brought out fencing gear and fight for it. After each little contest they concocted, the audience had to hold up pink and blue flags to say who won.

Anyhow, at the show, we found out that Messinger is going to try to hold the show semi-regularly again. I'm happy about that because there weren't very many last year and I kind of missed going to them.

Saturday, January 10th:

On Saturday, I worked my tail off on lesson plans and schedules for next semester. I didn't take the time to get a decent picture because I was too busy stressing. I still have one more class I have to plan. (And the way the weather has been going this winter, we'll end up having a couple of snow days, which will bork my lesson plans. Just watch!)

cosettemonster does. This evening, I waved around the feather duster toy and tried to get a couple of good photos. I thought this pose was amusing.
