Yep...I'm late on this one. I had a lot of pictures to go through from [livejournal.com profile] doomsey and my trip to the zoo on Friday.

Monday, April 6th:

The week before, I had finished making a Dalek washcloth. The bobbles are cute, but they're a pain in the ass to do, by the way.

Tuesday, April 7th:

A rosemary plant, which I probably managed to kill by transplanting it into the bigger pot.

Wednesday, April 8th:

I bought an el cheapo bird feeder on Monday, and by Tuesday afternoon, the birds had found it.

Thursday, April 9th:

A blue flower and bee. I went for a walk to look for spring plants, and I managed to fine a bee circling one. I think I got kind of lucky with this one. By the way, does anybody know what kind of flower this is? And don't say it's a blue flower. *glares at [livejournal.com profile] bkwrrm_tx*

Friday, April 10th:

[livejournal.com profile] doomsey had off from work for Good Friday so we went to the zoo. This picture amused me for whatever reason.

Saturday, April 11th:

Saturday night was the Passover seder at [livejournal.com profile] doomsey's parents' house.

Sunday, April 12th:

Easter Sunday. We went to dinner at my folks' house where they had an Easter egg hunt for my two-year-old niece.

The blue flowers are called Scilla in Swedish. We have them here too in spring, along with Tussilago (tussilago farfara), Vitsippa (anemona nemorosa) and BlÄsippa (anemona hepatica).

I've been told that Rosemary is a very hardy plant that prefers drier conditions than say... MINT. Heaven knows the one Rosemary I was able to cultivate a while back died because I watered it too much.
(Am trying again, having learned that lesson...)

I've always found rosemary to be very fussy. I have a tendency to over-water mine (I water the rest of my plants every day) and kill it.

If I ever figure out why it's growing WILD near my sister's house- I'll pass the info along! (Maybe it has something to do with the slightly volcanic soil?)
