11. World War Z by Max Brooks -- A book about a zombie uprising that began in China and went global. It was written in a journalistic style with the narrator interviewing survivors of the plague. This was a very good book and I devoured it (ha ha) in two days. I also enjoyed his use of sarcasm. Survivors who appeared to enjoy living in infested areas, and were disappointed that the military had come to rescue them were described as having Last Man on Earth Syndrome. The Army abbreviation for this became LaMOEs. Nice!

12. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman -- Another good read. This one was about a boy that was adopted by ghosts after his family was murdered. It won the Newberry Medal for Children's Literature earlier this year. I liked this one, although I think I enjoyed Coraline a little bit more. Oh hey...I just did a google search and discovered that they're also going to make The Graveyard Book into a movie. It's going to be directed by Neil Jordan. Neat!
