Yeah...I got a little carried away with pictures this week. Also, for someone who doesn't like the snow or the cold, I certainly take a lot of pictures out in the snow and cold. What can I say? At least it's pretty.

Monday, December 7th:

We got our first snowstorm of the year last week, so of course I had to go out and take pictures.

Tuesday, December 8th:

This little guy was wandering out and about without his owner (I think he was on his own front lawn), so I snapped a picture. His coat's a little bit unusual, but still, he's a cutey.

The last of the flowers...

Wednesday, December 9th:

I went to Graue Mill in the snow and took pictures. I also froze my ass off.

Thursday, December 10th:

A baby blanket I'm working on for my best friend's baby.

Friday, December 11th:

A pretty sunset taken in a graveyard...

Saturday, December 12th:

We celebrated Hanukkah on Saturday. My niece, Rayna, and her cousin, Phoenix, were handing out presents.

Sunday, December 13th:

I knitted a Secret Santa present for one of [livejournal.com profile] doomsey's co-workers. (Yeah...I'm not supposed to say, but I'm pretty sure she knows who gave it to her. I'm the only person I know off in that group that knits). Unfortunately, I forget to take a picture of the finished product. I should really post some of the things I knit and crochet to my journal on ravelry.

That picture of the rose is haunting. The doggy, however, makes me want to throw snowballs for him to chase. :-)

You know, I didn't know you were Jewish.

What a pretty mill!

And you have to admit a white winter is a lot brighter than a slushy one.

I'm not Jewish. I'm actually Catholic. My husband's family is Jewish, so that means I get to celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah. :)

Oh. Makes sense.

You know, that is one of those 'ehhh' things with me, sort of like sexual preference and skin color. It just really doesn't mean much.

Yep. We got one storm last week and another one this week. We managed to luck out with last week's storm. The Wisconsin and the northern suburbs got hammered with a foot of snow. We only got a couple of inches because our area stayed warm. We got most of our precipitation as rain.

And thanks for the comment on the blanket. I hope my friend likes it!

I guess it's the season for snow - stay warm and dry!

I'm sure your friend will love the blanket - anything handmade is special. I wish I could learn more intricate knitting like that. I've only done simple projects.

Actually, I learned to crochet this year, so I'm crocheting her blanket instead of knitting it. I discovered that crochet is actually a lot easier than knitting once you figure out how to read the patterns.

I tried learning to crochet but realized I need a teacher. it's so pretty when it's done though. maybe I'll try again someday.
