Today, I was knitting my blanket and watching Discovery Channel. Recently, I found out that I tend to knit longer when I'm watching tv, probably because I don't get bored as quickly. You also don't have to pay very much attention to shows on Discovery Channel or CNN to get the gist. You can just listen and then look up when you hear something interesting.

As I was working on the last few lines, a show came on about a scientist-- who had swam with sharks for years-- got bit by one. The narrator then proceeded to say that, in that show, they were going to investigate how and why he got bitten. You know, I don't think you need a one hour show in order to investigate this. It can be summed up in two simple sentences. You were standing in waist deep water that was full of bull sharks. One of them was hungry and decided that they might have a nip. QED.

LOL. I saw the beginning of that show... I turned to my husband and said "They were making a documentary and a guy got bitten... Which they needed to turn into a separate documentary about why... when all you need to say is I was hanging out with sharks. Yeah." ::click::

I actually paid attention long enough to find out what kind of shark it was. It turned out it was a bull shark. They said in another documentary before that that bull sharks were more likely to attack humans. And then he wonders why he got bitten...

You should post a picture of the blanket so other people can see how cool it is. ;) You're really doing a great job on it.

You sure are right about that. One wonders where their brains were.

Actually, they did determine from the footage that the shark had grabbed a hold of him and was attempting to pull him into deeper water where it could eat him. Another duh. That's when I stopped watching.
